Undershirt, Cotton
Good luck trying to find original undershirts. If they're used, would you even really want to wear them? Since undershirts are a scarce item to find as originals, we've thrown in some leniency in what you can wear underneath your uniform.
Back in the early stages of the war, the soldiers were issued white t-shirts and underwear to be worn under the wools. However, the Army quickly replaced these with an olive drab colored shirt. They also issued an olive drab sleeveless shirt for summer wear. For winter, there was issued long underwear. Early in the war, these long-johns were in an unbleached white wool, cotton blend. Later in the war, they were dyed olive drab.
You can find something decent at any military surplus store. Stay away from extremely dark green and brown. White shirts were done away with by mid-war, so you'll want to find something that will match the descriptions above. Basically, you just need to worry about the bit that will show at your neckline. Nobody will check to see what color your underwear is underneath that. If you want to find and wear original style briefs, that's fine, too.
